Rural life can be very isolating, with significant barriers to accessing care including travel time, cost, and a lack of knowledge of how to navigate the system especially when travelling to an unfamiliar location for care. My work as an IBCLC helps mitigate the gaps in service that exist in my community, as well as providing valuable evidence-based care for all our young families. I want to offer my heartfelt thanks for your support that allows me to continue offering an important service that contributes to improved health both now and in the future for families in my community.  -C.G.

Balancing graduate education with ongoing professional responsibilities has presented challenges, particularly when navigating limitations in workplace flexibility; This funding meaningfully alleviates that strain by making it more feasible to pursue advanced education while continuing to stay engaged in clinical practice.
