Celebrating Our Impact: A Message from Our Executive Director

Welcome to our November issue and the start of our Holiday giving campaign. Over the past year, we have shared remarkable stories of the impact of ARNET funding on patients and nurses across Alberta. None of this would be possible without the incredible support of people like you. Your generosity, whether through donations, partnerships, volunteering or simply spreading the word about our cause, makes a difference in the lives of countless people. Thank you for your dedication to improving healthcare.

As the holiday season approaches, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our Holiday Giving Campaign. We extend a heartfelt invitation for you to join us in our mission to enhance healthcare for Albertans through ongoing education and research conducted by registered nurses (RNs) and nurse practitioners. Your support will make a significant difference in the lives of those we care for.

Calgary ARNET Nursing Research Luncheon

We did it!

What an amazing day! The biggest thanks goes to all of you who helped make the luncheon a complete success this year. 160 people attended the sold out event at the Calgary Petroleum Club. The total raised from our generous sponsors and donations made at the event met our goal of $25,000!

A huge thank you to our guests, speakers, sponsors, staff, helpers and friends. Without you, none of this would have been possible! Thank you for your participation, your inspiration, your networking, your dedication and your donations. Stay tuned for the announcement of the date of our next Nursing Research Luncheon in Edmonton for Spring 2024.

"I believe that being a life long learner, continuing to further ones own knowledge and expertise is essential for practicing as a nurse, ensuring the highest standard of care is provided to patients and their support systems.

Any amount of funding can help significantly. Even if it’s only $500, that helps a family buy groceries and still allows for pursuing dreams, goals and education.

Giving Tuesday Kicks off our Holiday Campaign

Giving Tuesday is the world’s largest generosity movement. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good: make someone smile, help a neighbour or stranger, show up for an issue you care about, or give some of what you have to those in need.

This year we will be kicking off our Holiday Giving campaign on Giving Tuesday. Until December 31, we will be sharing stories of the impact nurses make in our communities and opportunities to support this crucial work. Our goal this year is $15,000, and we hope you join us.
