All About Our Continuing Education Grants

What is a continuing education grant?

  • ARNET educational grants are funded through a legacy fund supported by the Province of Alberta, individual donors and partners.

  • Due to the high volume of demand and our charity’s limited financial resources, there is no guarantee of funding from ARNET.

Continuing Education Grants help fund:

  • registration fees for a nursing conference or workshop

  • specialty nursing courses or degree level studies

  • certification exam or recertification costs

Must be related to improving nursing care and to your practice as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner.

Grants provide partial funding for self-paid educational activities.

  • You must be registered to practice nursing in Alberta as an RN or NP, reside and work in Alberta when enrolled in the educational activity and when applying for funding.

  • The course/program/workshop must be completed before applying. Proof of completion is required.
